I’ve been a Pastor going on 30 years now, wow! Before I was even a mother and a wife, I led in some way, shape or form since right out of high school. When my husband and I were first starting out, we assisted our church’s youth minister and spent hours studying, enrolled in NY School of the Bible classes, and learned from our leaders how to lead. Then, we went on to start a new church, Oasis NYC, 18 years ago.
In the early days, I realized that adding a newlywed lifestyle, then 3 babies under 4 years old on top of a life of ministry equalled: OVERWHELM! Luckily I learned some lessons along the way and I realize my energy and efforts are better used as a direct line of support for my amazing community. I can’t do what I do alone~ helping other overwhelmed mamas grow grounded in a healthy lifestyle!
So, I’m thrilled to extend this challenge where you will be hearing from some incredible special guest speakers: Tarnya Coley Enid Bozic, Carol Bevil, Megan Stratton and of course, ME, your host! Read on for a little about each guest.
We’ll be LIVE daily, June 21st-25th from 11:00am-12:00pm EST in our Facebook Group. Click link to come join us! https://bit.ly/3gRJorV
“Well-behaved women rarely make history” ~ Laurel Thatcher Ulrich
Lately, I’ve been listening to Lisa Bevere’s Audible book: Lioness Arising. There’s nothing quite like the light bulb going off: an epiphany!
Lisa tells the story of a recuperating lion and his lioness. The time had come for him to rejoin the pride and take his rightful place. The rangers needed to tranquilize him to get him correctly situated. What they didn’t count on was his lioness coming to protect him! She mounted her surprise attack and needed to be tranquilized as well.
Even tranquilized, the lions growled, their eyes on them. The rangers swiftly made their way back into their vehicle, never turning their backs on the lions. The epiphany: The narrator explained, “There is nothing more dangerous than being in the presence of lions when they are fully awake.”
Lisa illuminated the idea of being dangerous when fully awake. It jumped in my spirit! What if women became fully awakened to their God-given position as a strong lioness protecting what is rightfully hers?!
There are enemies all around that would love to keep us contained because we are truly frightening when we fully realize who we are in Christ. We must not allow ourselves to become “sedated” by the things of this world. When we become fully awakened to who we really are, we confront things, protect what God has given us and fulfill our unique callings.
So, beginning next Monday, we'll kick off the week with this amazing woman, a lioness arising and my Mindset Coach ~Tarnya Coley

Are you ready to arise, lioness?!
Another lioness, arising is my friend Enid Bozic and on Wednesday we’re honored to have her sharing on Identity!
Enid is founder and president of Imperishable Beauty, a nonprofit that highlights women who are changing communities around the world and equips the everyday woman to live out beauty in her sphere of influence. She’s also an adjunct professor at Vanguard University where she teaches digital advocacy and market research and is on staff as a digital marketer where she oversees Vanguard’s social media channels. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs, Master of Arts in Teaching, and will be starting her doctorate program at Pepperdine in September 2021. She has been married to her best friend, Vlad, for nine years and is mom to Max, their 6-year-old, energetic and wildly curious son. In her downtime, you’ll find her with her family at any of the beaches along the Southern California coast.
I’ve been talking a lot about “Breakthrough” lately. It seems to be the Word of the Lord! Everywhere I turn, I hear it. But what does it actually mean??
If you know anything at all about me, you know I fully believe God has purpose for each of us. Every January, I take time to seek God for a theme or word for the upcoming year. My word for 2021 is FAVOR.
On my Vision Board from 2020, I had a picture of a woman working out. At the time, my health was in very bad shape, not to mention my body! 😄
I took months to research what other women were doing to get healthy. I felt God was leading me to join my sweet friend, Bertie, to invest in myself by starting my health journey.
It began with a challenge. I started using Plexus supplements, eating right and gently exercising. I knew that God was calling me up higher to heal my body so I could do the work He had me to do and equip others.
Today, one year later I am off medications, stronger than I’ve ever been and down to a weight and size that was almost impossible for me to get to before.
I tell you this not to brag, but to inspire you. God has so much for us to do, how can we when we are not healthy??
So, my guest next Thursday will guide us in her expertise. Her new book, “Breakthrough” is a must read. 6 Weeks to demolish diet culture strongholds! A Bible study to breakthrough- God’s Good Plan, God’s Provision, God’s Word.
Carol Bevil, a coach, blogger and speaker, is co-founder of Fuel Your Body, Feed Your Soul, a God-first approach to nutrition, body image and food relationship. She has been in the health and fitness industry for 30 years. Bevil holds multiple certifications in cycling, personal training and nutrition. Raised in a Jewish family, she surrendered her life to Jesus and was baptized with her husband at the age of 40. They have a son and three daughters and live in Birmingham, Alabama.
And finally on Friday, my sweet sister-friend as she likes to say, will be sharing. ☺️ I’ve watched her grow as a mom of two sweet little girls and as an entrepreneur. She’s one super busy lady and I can’t wait for you to hear from her on how she does it! It’s my pleasure introducing her to you!
From Meg:
"Well, hello there! I'm Megan Stratton. Wife to Mark, Mama to McCartney and Marleigh, full time corporate Sale Manager, and content creator living in Chattanooga, TN. Messy motherhood pretty much sums up my life. "Messy" because life isn't meant to be picture perfect and well, because my beds are never made and my floors are rarely clean, but I can guarantee that the laughter and fun that fill my house are more important.
I've been told since I was a young girl that women "can
